Johnson & Johnson (the manufacturer of Acuvue lenses) recently announced that they are bringing back previously discontinued Acuvue Oasys for Astigmatism 2-week lens powers, and adding some extra power availability on top of it. Therefore, the range of powers for the lens will not only restore parameters to their former glory, but the power availability will be amplified for even more potential wearers.

Which Powers are the Acuvue Oasys for Astigmatism 2-week soft contact lenses becoming available?

The sphere power range will still stretch from -9.00 to +6.00, but cylinder power will be provided from -0.75 through -2.75, EVERY TEN DEGREES for 180 degrees at EVERY AVAILABLE SPHERE POWER. This is great news! Here is a simplified summation of what the new power availability will look like…

Plus power & Low minus power range:

• Sphere Power:
  • +6.00 to -6.00D (0.25D steps)
• Cylinder Power: -0.75, -1.25, -1.75, -2.25, -2.75
  • AXIS: 10° to 180° (in 10° increments)

High minus power range:

• Sphere Power:
  • -6.50D to -9.00D (0.50D steps)
• Cylinder Power: -0.75, -1.25, -1.75, -2.25, -2.75
  • AXIS: 10° to 180° (in 10° increments)
